High level: What are you still tolerating in your life?

We all know that change only begins when you dare to take an honest look at where you are now. Yet we often tend to look away, justify or rationalise.

But let me ask you this:

  • Are you still tolerating money problems when deep down you know you have more options?
  • Are you stuck in a relationship that gives you no passion or real connection?
  • Are you letting your children treat you like a slave, when you know you want to raise them to be respectful, loving people?
  • Do you accept colleagues or a boss overstepping your boundaries?

What you tolerate ultimately determines how you live.

High level: totally claiming your value

High-level living means accepting nothing less than what reflects your value.

  • That you don't stay in a relationship you don't fully support.
  • That you are surrounded by quality: good food, an environment that nourishes you.
  • That you choose yourself; visible in how you dress, how your home looks, how you speak and think about yourself, and in your ambitions.
  • That you run a business or have work where you maximise your potential, get paid well for the value you deliver and make room for sabbaticals, time for yourself.

High-level living means buying healthy products without hesitation, buying a gift for someone you love without the maths in your head.

It is living from the motto: You never have to explain why your dream is your dream.

My own experience

I remember well a moment a few years ago. I had taken on an assignment that didn't feel right, but I wanted to "be nice" and I felt I couldn't pass up the money. During the process, I noticed that I was losing my energy and actually couldn't be myself. One day I thought: why am I actually tolerating this? This is not the standard I want for myself. I entered the conversation and stopped working together. Exciting, yes. But what happened next was powerful: space opened up for a client who really suited me, who saw my value and who paid me well.

That moment taught me: if I don't claim my worth, no one will do it for me.

What does this mean for you?

Life is too short to settle for mediocrity. It is not about doing more, but about making more impact, experiencing more fulfilment, and claiming your value in everything you do.

So ask yourself these questions:

  • Where in my life am I still living below my own standard?
  • How would I like it though?
  • What does it take to get there?

And maybe you feel resistance or doubt:

I don't know what my dreams are. I don't know what my hidden gold is. I am not always aware where I settle too easily and how I can do it differently.

Then know this: that is precisely where your entry point to growth lies. Because where you don't yet know, lies the potential to discover yourself.

A suggestion to grow further

Three factors that will help you make that shift:

1. Full immersion

Half commitment = half result. Imagine immersing yourself 100% in one experience or learning. What would change if you stopped skimming and went all-in?

2. Dealing with inspiring people

You become the average of the people you interact with the most. Who do you admire? What keeps you from connecting or being fed by their energy? Or get a mentor or a coach to create this at an accelerated pace.

3. Modelling

Choose someone who you think: this is how I want to do it too. Study how they think, act and make choices. Not to copy, but to discover which principles you can apply in your own life.

In conclusion

Your life changes not because of what you know, but because of what you no longer tolerate and fully choose to do.

So... what are you still tolerating that no longer suits you?

And what does your life look like when you start living really high level? Fully in line with your worth, your values, your dreams and your impact?
