Growth is not in doing more

In my look back at 2025, I realised it again.

Growth is not just in work, goals or achievements.

But precisely in the moments when you don't have to prove anything.

Those are often the quietest moments.

No applause. No result to show.

An honest realisation, though: this has been me.

And if you feel this, it's a good time to not only look at what you have done...

But to who you have been.

Because that's where your leadership is.

Not in your planning.

In your patterns, though.

Not in your intentions.

In your behaviour, though.

Therefore, I invite you to consciously look back at 2025.

Not to judge yourself.

But to look clear.

In the next mailing, I will also share my own retrospective.

Retrospective

  1. Where did I take ownership this year, even when it was uncomfortable?

  2. Where did I keep declaring instead of choosing?

  3. What pattern do I see reflected in my behaviour this year?

  4. What was structurally costing energy with no real return?

  5. Which decision made me more mature as a person or leader?

Truth

  1. What did I actually already know but didn't want to face?

  2. Where was I maintaining something that no longer made sense?

  3. What boundary should I have set earlier?

Outlook

  1. What needs to stop to make room for growth?

  2. Which choice next year requires consistent behaviour, not motivation?

  3. What will be my most important non-negotiable agreement with myself?

Closing anchor question

  1. When I look back honestly at the end of next year, what should be visibly different in my behaviour?

Take your time with it.

If necessary, one question a day.

Not to be harsh.

Well to be fair.

What you see is exactly where you can build on.
